‘While other professions are concerned with changing the environment to suit the weakened body, chiropractic is concerned with strengthening the body to suit the environment.‘
~ BJ Palmer
Chiropractic is founded on the science and philosophy that the brain, and nervous system, coordinate and oversee every cell, tissue and organ in the human body. Your nervous system carries vital life force throughout the body and any interference, or interruption, to these vital signals can and will interfere with the body’s innate healing ability.
Your body undergoes daily, repetitive stress in many of the same areas, whether through your job, sports, hobbies or simply everyday life, leading to a breakdown in these locations. This process can last for weeks, months and sometimes years, before the first symptom begins to arise.
The art of chiropractic is to locate and remove the interference, or stress, to the nervous system… restoring communication between the central nervous system (CNS) and the rest of the body.
At Advanced Health and Wellness, our chiropractors are uniquely trained to work with each client in locating and correcting any interference or issue with the spine or extremities, using a systematic whole body functional assessment of 18 major stress points in the human framework. They align the spine, release tension and stress, while restoring optimal function. This approach and standard of care has the ability to improve the health potential of any individual young or old, athlete or weekend adventurer.

Your initial visit will include a Consultation and Comprehensive Examination, including Range of Motion and Postural Assessment. If deemed necessary, x-rays are taken with our digital x-ray machine, measuring static and motion images to determine the health and current state of your spine or joints. This visit typically lasts 45 minutes.
Your second visit will include a Review of Findings, where our chiropractors share their assessment based on the intake exam and x-ray findings. This is what helps determine whether relief care, maintenance care or corrective care is right for you. This visit typically lasts 30 minutes.
Following these, your Chiropractic Adjustment visits always include a functional assessment of your spine, joints and extremities and appropriate adjustments to restore function and balance, while harmonizing the nervous system and supporting optimal immune function. This visit typically lasts between 7-15 minutes.
